What most affects the # community economy in northern and eastern Syria is the lack of water resources and the inability to provide a secure energy supply. This exacerbates # climate change, disruption of partial ecosystems and the resulting anomalous climate phenomena such as local warming, changing # precipitation patterns, frequency of # drought waves, desertification or salinity resulting from low availability of appropriate water in quantity or type.
