Agricultural land in # NES deteriorated due to low rainfall levels and worsening climate change crisis especially localized warming. These phenomena are evident through high rates of # EASY agricultural stress index and other indicators and evidence such as # NDVI # AHI # VHI # VCI. As a result, the # Development # Agency # CooperationTeam “Climate change causes and consequences” to the fact that agricultural land accounted for 43% of the total area area of NES, of whom only 53% were cultivated in 2021. These ratios show that farmers were unable to grow their land for many different reasons related to water availability, fertilizer supply, seed quality and other factors such as instability.
As a strategic response, the Agency’s experts have developed a new integrated approach as a sustainable solution that has been formed as a program called the Socio-Economic Lungs Program.
